About this month’s session:
This month we will continue our discussion of A Call To Friends: Faithful Living in Desperate Times by Marty Grundy. This small book is available at Friends Journal and other book retailers.
This month we will be discussing chapter three “A Call and Challenge to Friends Today” which divides into two parts. In the first part “Transformation, Mrs. Grundy discusses what steps might occur in the process in the transformation of a person’s life in the direction of the Divine, whether thought of as God, Jesus, Love, etc and what that life might look like. In the second part “Community” she discusses the centrality of living in a “transformed community” particularly how Quaker meetings can be these transformed communities in which persons can experience lifes of joy and love “under the leadership of Holy Spirit” learning how to be the “Kingdom of God.”
Again we would like to invite others to join us in discussing this book even if you have not been able to read it yet.
What is the Adult Discussion Group?
