Joining on-line or by phone:

Visit  ZOOM LINK  to attend via Zoom. You can join by phone by calling 1-929-205-6099. 

Use Meeting ID 818 2803 2335 and passcode 604741 when prompted.

• Attenders will be muted upon entry to the Meeting.
• If you have a message to share, please unmute yourself using your Zoom controls. Phone users can press *6 to unmute/mute.
• Our Zoom calls are captioned with Zoom’s automated captioning service.

Joining in-person:

Enter in the front glass doors by the main parking lot. Masking is welcomed and encouraged. Masks are available in the room. Please let us know ahead of time if you’d like us to bring masks outside to you.

Walk in through the two sets glass doors, up the ramp, and turn left. This month we are meeting in the smaller room past the tables and chairs.

We will have the visual guides, fidgets, papers and writing tools, and a computer to run the Zoom meeting.

Around 2pm, the facilitator will gain everyone’s attention and start reading through the expectations. Then after answering any questions, we will start our waiting worship together.

If you need to use the restroom, go out the doors and turn right. You may leave Meeting for Worship at any time and you may re-enter at any time.

Help yourself during the Meeting for Worship to the supplies offered.

When it is around 2:30, the facilitator will break the silence with a greeting to those present. Then the facilitator will lead the group into introductions (greeting, name, pronouns) and then people are free to mingle and help clean up.

Who

Anyone, truly anyone, interested in attending Meeting for Worship. We will welcome you as you are and regardless of none, little, or a lot of experience with Quaker practices. We look forward to meeting children, teens, adults, older adults, students working on projects, etc and centering together in gathered waiting worship.

“Waiting worship” can mean different things to different people. North Columbus Friends welcomes and looks forward to being with people who have a variety of beliefs regarding God, the Light, Jesus, nontheism, anywhere in between, and those who aren’t sure about their beliefs.

We also welcome everyone to share their message, if they have one for the group, the best way they know how. That might mean writing something down and selecting someone to read it aloud for you. The same goes for a drawing to share as a message. If you use Augmentative and Alternative Communication device (AAC), please bring it so you can share your thoughts. We look forward to experiencing all the different ways we can share messages.

Why

This afternoon session was created out of requests to meet various needs of those in the community. It is shorter than the morning session. It starts in the afternoon. It was also designed for those who have disabilities that make it difficult to join the morning session.

We do recognize that gathering at this time in the afternoon, for this duration, and with others who have these needs as well can be fulfilling for people in our NCFM community. We see and raise up these needs and see the Light in each person.

If you are unable to physically access the building but are still interested in joining, we can work with you to see if you’d be interested in joining in via Zoom.
