HOSTED BY FARIHA ROISIN:
July 21-Sept 8, 2024, each Sunday from 12-3pm eastern
If you are enmeshed in grief but wanting to find another way to process the grief into writing… this might be the class for you.
I think a lot about containers of grief — who gets to grieve and where we go to find spaces that can allow us time to process these feelings of depression or desperation or despair.
Teaching is one of the ways I get to embody my resources for the revolution and its an honor to sit with those of you who want to learn from me and also teach me – I am here to also learn and process with all of you.
So I’m announcing Grief Studies, an 8-week writing + grief processing class.
In the first five classes, we will focus on one of the five stages of grief (denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance) alongside the five stages of decolonization (rediscovery/recovery, mourning, dreaming, commitment, and action). The last three classes will focus on “finding meaning,” “restoration” and “resilience.”
