An ever-increasing landscape of violence and oppression has stripped more and more of our humanity from us. Forcing us into rigid performances of right and wrong, good and bad. So many of us are living life in greyscale, drained of our own vibrance and unable to see the truth of others, making us far less effective in shaping change. How do we invite each other into deeper relationships of authenticity and trust in a time of grave distrust and misinformation? How do we call on each other to contribute our best to shared liberation without discarding, abandoning, and disposing of one another?
Join authors adrienne maree brown, Sonya Renee Taylor, and astrologer Jessica Lanyadoo as we return to our Joy in the Time of Apocalypse series, to discuss how we can – even in a world that fears correction and judges intimacy – practice developing the capacity for loving corrections and being deeply known.

adrienne maree brown is growing a garden of healing ideas through her multi-genre writing, her collaborations and her podcasts. Informed by 25 years of movement facilitation, somatics, Octavia E Butler scholarship and her work as a doula, adrienne has nurtured Emergent Strategy, Pleasure Activism, Radical Imagination and Transformative Justice as ideas and practices for transformation. Sonya Renee Taylor is one of many hands currently called to midwife the new world. She is a guide, poet, storyteller, vision holder, intuitive birth chart reader, and evangelist of radical love. She is the author of seven books including the New York Times bestseller The Body Is Not an Apology: The Power of Radical Self Love (2021) and her most recent offering for young readers The Book of Radical Answers (2023). From International Poetry Slam Champion, to wilderness counselor, to public health professional to the visionary and architect of the global media and education company The Body is Not an Apology, Sonya’s journey has been about touching the hem of those on the margins and weaving our stories back into oneness. Sonya is a global citizen currently helping to birth written, digital, and land-based offerings that move the world toward the embodiment of liberatory radical love.
Jessica Lanyadoo is a Humanistic Astrologer, Psychic Medium, tarot reader, and Animal Communicator. She started her private practice in San Francisco in 1994 and has met with thousands of people across the globe for one-on-one, couples, and business consultations. Lanyadoo has lectured extensively, taught astrology, and offered live mediumship events. She facilitates communication between the living and their lost loved ones, and she’s helped people connect with their pets through live animal communication. She is the host of the top ranking astrology and advice show, Ghost of a Podcast, the co-founder of the get-out-the-vote project, Zodiac the Vote, and she was the co-host of TLC’s digital show Stargazing.
