It’s that time of year again! Time to kick off Operation Backpack®, a program of the
Volunteers of America (VOA), that gives local area children in need a new backpack & school supplies to start the school year.
Last year North Columbus Friends Meeting was able to donate 24 filled backpacks to Neighborhood Services Inc (NSI). This year, NSI is NOT collecting back-to-school supplies so NCFM will be partnering with VOA’s Operation Backpack instead. If you are interested in supporting this program, below are several ways to do so:

1. Bring new backpacks & school supplies to Meeting For Worship on Sundays & put them in the NSI collection box.
2. Donate cash, check or Venmo to Barbara, who will shop for school supplies on behalf of NCFM.
3. Go to VOA‘s website & make a monetary donation there –

• pencils, highlighters, pens, erasers, pencil sharpeners
• markers – 8 count
• crayons – 24 count
• spiral notebooks, 2 pocket folders, binders
