The Athens Friends Meeting cordially invites Friends from the North Columbus and Granville Meetings to worship with us outdoors at Dow Lake, and stay for potluck lunch, on the 4th Sundays of July, August, and September. Folks can also linger longer and take advantage of the swimming beach, hiking trails, and the boat rentals.

For the July and September dates, the place is the Lakeview shelter, just past the swimming beach, at Strouds Run State Park, 11661 State Park Road, Athens, OH. Meeting for worship begins at 10:00 a.m., preceded by 15 minutes of singing, followed by a potluck meal. If you can, bring a dish to share, your own plates and tableware, and a folding chair if you want to be comfortable during meeting for worship.

For the August date, the place is the Group Campground, on Township Rd 212, across the road from the Strouds Run State Park Campground. Friends will be camping Saturday night, Aug  24^th. On Sunday morning, meeting for worship will take place around the campfire at 10 o’clock, preceded by 15 minutes of singing, and followed by a potluck, as above. 

All are welcome. Childcare will be provided during meeting for worship. It would be helpful for us to know how many children might be there, so let us know if kids from your Meeting are likely to be coming. Thanks.
