About this month’s session:
Adult Discussion Group – will be continuing its discussion of the earliest Quaker history based on readings from The Light in Their Consciences: Early Quakers in Britain, 1646 – 1666 authored by Rosemary Moore. This month’s reading is the chapter “Biblical Framework” which examines the role of the Bible in the earliest Quaker life. Within it such topics as how early Quakers viewed the Bible particularly about its relationship with the inward light. Also examined is how Quakers used the Bible, debates between Quakers and Anti – Quakers regarding the status of the Bible and other fascinating stuff.

What is the Adult Discussion Group?
The Adult Discussion Group meets each month (except August) on the fourth Sunday at 2 p.m. The participants meet to select the topics at the start of each year and they represent a wide range of concerns and interests.
The age range of the attenders is wide, from students to seniors. At present, the meetings are entirely on Zoom. No registration or RSVP required. No Quaker experience necessary.
