Columbus Mennonite Church invites NCFM to join their 4-18-2025 outdoor Good Friday Service that will begin in their parking lot at 6:15 p.m.

For the past several months, a few members of Columbus Mennonite Church [CMC], and a few members of NCFM have been proposing that our two communities plan joint events to which members of both of our communities would be invited. The first such event is described below.

Columbus Mennonite Church Good Friday Service

This year’s Good Friday service, April 18, will take place outside as a public witness. We will gather in the CMC parking lot at 6:15 p.m. and will process to a publicly visible area. We will have banners that say “God’s Love Knows No Borders” and other similarly-themed banners. The service will include song, scripture, and meditations, connecting the suffering of Jesus with places of suffering today. All ages are welcome. Bring a friend.

Please be aware that the above event will involve standing up outside, within walking distance of Columbus Mennonite Church, for an hour or so. Columbus Mennonite Church is at 35 Oakland Park Ave.; their parking lot is on the south side of Oakland Park Ave. half a block east of N. High St.
