Invitation from Columbus Mennonite Church
Columbus Mennonite Church has invited NCFM and several other religious communities and organizations that are committed to peace and justice to join them on Tuesday, December 9, 5:45-8:45 p.m., when the national “To Build Our Courage” tour of a national organization named Mennonite Action will be visiting that church.
Columbus Mennonite Church is located at 35 Oakland Park Ave., across the alley [Broadway Pl.] from and slightly further north than where NCFM holds Meeting for Worship each First-Day.
NCFM people may use the same parking places when parking for events at the Columbus Mennonite Church that they would use when parking for NCFM events.
Below is the official event invitation from the Columbus Mennonite Church. We at Columbus Mennonite Church are inviting your congregation/organization to join us on December 9 at 5:45 p.m. as part of Mennonite Action’s national To Build Our Courage tour. This fall and winter, Mennonite Action is traveling across the U.S. to train Mennonites and people of faith to meet this moment with courage — standing up to authoritarianism, continuing organizing against ICE, and working for peace and justice in Palestine.
At this training in Columbus, we’ll dive into practical skills around noncooperation, grassroots organizing, and mutual aid, as well as share in worship, prayer, song, and sharing a meal together. We hope it will be a time of inspiration, courage, and connection. Join us as we seek courage, inspiration, and deeper commitment to peace and justice. Learn more and sign up here. The below link will allow people to directly register for the Columbus stop of the tour rather than having to choose the city from a menu before continuing.
