Digest for Week of February 11-17, 2024

Hello!

Last week, Google enacted new rules regarding links in an effort to enforce safety and security rules. You might have seen the Digest in your Spam folder with a red banner on it. That made the links not work.

Those who work on NCFM’s website and Digest have made adjustments to hopefully prevent that from happening again.

The Digest will not have the full usual content.

Thank you,

Online Tech Team

The Ann Arbor Meeting will present a session on guides to Faith and Practice written by Friends—the history of how our non-creedal society came to create and use such documents; the experience of Friends who have created, developed, and revised these guides; and how they are maintained as living documents as meetings grow and change. The session will include an interactive exercise in which small groups will review passages from various Faith and Practice guides and experience the process of spirit-led discerning together as might be done in developing such a guide.

🕊 Weekly Quaker-led events related to Palestine:

Tuesday and Thursdays at noon, online, from Quaker Voluntary Service (QVS).

Staff at Quaker Voluntary Service invite you to join us for worship with attention to Gaza. We feel led to offer a space of praying for a liberated future.

The war in Palestine has killed tens of thousands of people, and more people are being killed each day. Each day without a ceasefire more people are killed.

As Quakers and a Quaker org, we believe war is never the answer. We believe in peace; we believe it is possible. Even more importantly, we believe in creating a world that does away with the causes of war.

Every single life that has been lost since the beginning of October has been a tragedy.

We invite you to join us for worship. Registration

Thursdays at 5:30pm, online, from American Friends Service Committee (AFSC).
